SceneMeld Support
Quick guidance for adding sources, arranging scenes, recording locally, and publishing an RTMP stream.
Quick start
- Create a scene and add a camera, movie, screen, or window source.
- Move and resize layers on the canvas. Drag sidebar rows to change stacking order.
- Enable a microphone or turn on the audio track for a movie source.
- Start a local recording from the toolbar. Before going live, connect a platform or save a custom destination in Settings.
Permissions and source recovery
macOS manages Camera, Microphone, and Screen Recording permissions separately. If access is denied, enable SceneMeld in System Settings → Privacy & Security. If a screen or window cannot be restored after relaunch, its layer remains intact; choose Restart Source and select it again.
Audio device changes
After connecting or disconnecting AirPods, a USB microphone, or another input, the route can take a few seconds to stabilize. Select the desired device from the microphone menu. If capture does not recover, turn the microphone off and on again.
Streaming
For a supported platform, open its page under Settings → Streaming, complete web sign-in, and create a broadcast. SceneMeld automatically saves and selects that broadcast's ingest destination. You can also configure an RTMP, RTMPS, or WHIP URL and credential manually. The app reconnects after network recovery. If the server still holds the previous publisher, reconnecting may wait until that stream name is released.
Disconnecting a platform removes SceneMeld's saved connection and requests revocation. It does not delete broadcasts or recordings already held by the platform.
Diagnostics
Choose View → Performance Monitor to inspect render, encoder, recorder, and streaming health. A redacted streaming diagnostic can be exported without stream keys, full URL paths, local media names, or device names.
